QUESTION | So do you surf on acid?

ANSWER | No. Doesn’t work so well.

Where’s the best place you’ve ever surfed? Probably Bali, Indonesia.

And what made it so spectacular? Spectacular barrels, endless reef breaks, the culture and the people.

How old were you when you started surfing? Three. I’ve been surfing 22 years.

Where do you usually surf? Home spot is 44th Ave. N , and I usually surf up here next to Apache Pier.

What else do you do besides surf and bartend? Hang out with my girl, go out with friends, bar hop, beach, hang out with the boys at Village Surf Shop and plan surf trips.

Where’s your next surf trip? Puerto Rico in September.

So what’s with the air canister? It’s a breath of air when you most need it - whether it’s during a fire, surfing or scuba diving. It’s emergency air when you need it.

Have you ever needed it? Yes. Surfing in Puerto Rico. I was held under the water for a couple minutes and it saved my life.

How did you get started bartending? I worked at K Rae’s and learned from the bartenders there. The day I turned 21 I started bartending, and I’ve been doing it ever since even though I have a college degree.

Where’d you go to college?I can’t tell you...but if people come in and guess where I went to college correctly, they might get a free drink.
