THE LOCALE | Captain Dilligaf’s Tiki Bar, Filet’s Restaurant, Harbourgate Marina
THE LOWDOWN | After a relaxing boat ride in the Intracoastal Waterway, we docked our boat (well, not “our” boat, but the one we were using from the Freedom Boat Club) at the Harbourgate Marina and decided to unwind even more. So, we strolled up to Captain Dilligaf’s Tiki Bar for happy hour.
This waterfront locale is behind Filet’s Restaurant in the Harbourgate Marina on the Intercoastal Wateway. There’s a bar inside Filet’s, which has a casual dining atmosphere. The outside tiki bar is located on a large deck that offers both covered and uncovered seating. The atmosphere is laid back and fun with live music.
Who is Captain Dilligaf, you might ask? Well one can assume he doesn’t get bothered by much, since his name stands for “Does It Look Like I Give A F*#k.” You can throw your cares to the wind, too, at this tiki bar. Sit back and relax and enjoy the view of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Harbourgate Marina. You can also enjoy the happy hour deals.
Happy hour starts at 4 p.m. daily. Drink specials include $2.50 domestic bottles, $2.75 well drinks and $3 house wines. You can also snag a variety of appetizers for five bucks including fresh tuna spring rolls, shrimp cakes, spicy shrimp, lettuce wraps and calamari. Head to Captain Dilligaf’s for Thursdays on the deck for five dollar deals.
