THE LOWDOWN | Sports? Check. Beer? Check. Pizza? Check. Where? Milardo's Pizzeria & Sports Pub. That's this week's Happy Hour Heaven destination. There are 21 flat panel TVs throughout the establishment… there are 14 beers on tap… and there are countless N.Y.-style and Sicilian pizzas to choose from.

You'll find Milardo's Pizzeria & Sports Pub in the former Cooter's Backyard Bar & Grill location. It's a family-friendly joint with a laid back atmosphere. Inside, there is a dining area and a sizable bar area with plenty of seating. There's a game room with air hockey, Buck Hunter, car racing and more to keep the kids (or adults) happy.

You can also play corn hole. That's upstairs on the outdoor deck, which has its own bar and picnic tables. The outdoor deck will also host tailgating during football season.

Happy hour runs from 4-7 p.m. weekdays. Drink deals include $3 well drinks and $2 domestic drafts (which are normally $2.75). Select appetizers such as chicken wings, chicken fingers, sausage parmesan and shrimp cocktail are five bucks during happy hour. The full menu includes pasta, grinders, calzones, Stromboli and pizza. For dessert, Milardo’s offers items such as cannoli and cheesecake, be also be sure to try the specialty drink Chocolate Milk to leave a sweet delicious taste in your mouth.
