It all boils down to Thursday...the three finalists take the stage for all the marbles as the Myrtle Beach regional finals of the 2013 Hard Rock Calling Battle of the Bands - which features the ultimate prize of a performing slot at London’s Hard Rock Calling Festival - is on tap at Hard Rock Cafe. Vying for the coveted spot to move on to the next round of the battle are Dream Killer from the Greensboro, N.C. area, Fallen Child from Florence and Aunt Polly’s Revenge from the Leland/Tabor City, N.C. area. Thursday’s winner will join the other 84 winners from Hard Rock Cafes across the globe in an online voting poll. “They use the same video that was uploaded on Reverbnation at the start of the competition,” says Janice Duffy, sales and marketing manager for Hard Rock Cafe Myrtle Beach. “That global online voting will take place April 16-21 at which time the field will be narrowed down to 25. Our panel of industry experts in Orlando will then select the top three, with only the ultimate winner receiving the opportunity to perform at Hard Rock Calling 2013, plus $10,000 in new gear, record a video and album with Hard Rock Records, plus, do a world-wide tour of major Hard Rock markets.” The action gets started at 8 p.m. Thursday. There is no cover charge. Hard Rock Café is at 1322 Celebrity Circle, Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Beach. Call 946-0007 or visit www.hardrock.com.
