THE LOWDOWN | There is now another Murphy’s Law Sports Bar along the Grand Stand. This one is in Surfside Beach area, and that’s where we went for happy hour this week.

Murphy’s Law Surfside is located on U.S. 17 Bypass near Dunkin Donuts, in the spot where Beef O’ Brady’s used to be. It’s a laid back spot with an easy going crowd. People come here to relax and have a drink or a bite to eat, or to watch a game. There are more than 20 TVs throughout the establishment. You can see them from anywhere you sit, whether you’re at one of the green booths or belly-up to the large square bar.

Sports memorabilia hangs on the wooden walls, including Pittsburgh Steelers Terrible Towels and Penguins Jerseys. There are a couple dart boards and games such as Golden Tee, Silver Strike and Power Putt. Test your knowledge on Sunday nights during Team Trivia.

Happy hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Drink deals include $2 well liquors and $2 select draft beers such as Miller Light and Bud Light. Other draft beers and bottles are discounted by 50 cents. You can snag appetizers for five bucks during happy hour, including pizza, fried zucchini and Boom Boom Shrimp. Wings, oysters and peel-and-eat shrimp are 45 cents each during happy hour.

TIPS | Murphy’s Law is non-smoking, so you’ll have to light up outside.
