Who’s on first?

If you’re planning on heading out to the ball park tonight to see the opening game of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans’ 15th season, it would be helpful to know who you’re watching. The team’s front office recently announced the opening day roster.

Here’s a look at the players, their ages and hometowns/countries:

The team includes nine returning Pelicans: outfielders Skole and Jackson, along with pitchers Edwards, Klein, McBride, Rojas, and Van Meter; infielder Garcia and outfielder Grayson.

Manager Wood begins his third season as the only Carolina League manager to guide his team to the postseason in both 2011 and 2012.

The Pelicans’ posted a 74-65 record in 2012 and lost in the divisional round of the postseason.
