THE LOCALE | Mr. Fish Seafood Restaurant, Sushi and Raw Bar
THE LOWDOWN | Still serving great food and cheap drinks, Mr. Fish Seafood Restaurant has a new location. That's where we went for happy hour this week.
Mr. Fish Seafood moved into the building on Kings Highway which previously housed King Crab, and before that, The Fish House. Mr. Fish's seafood market is still in its former location on Kings Highway at 34th Avenue North, but as for the small seafood restaurant that used to be next door, this new location is much, much bigger - now 8,000-square feet. There is a dining area, sushi bar area, and a lounge, which is where you can find the bar.
The clientele is a mix of locals and tourists. You'll find them relaxing on the lounge chairs and couches in the back corner, sitting at the high and low-top tables, or perched on a bar stool at the bar. There are some TVs, or you can turn your attention to the artwork and paintings on the walls.
Happy hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. daily. Drink specials include $2 domestic beers and $3 well liquors. You can also snag $5 appetizers including crab salad roll sushi, boom boom shrimp, calamari, crab Rangoon and stuffed Portobello mushrooms.
