Brews and Qs news

I’ve got good news to report this week as we’ve landed a new Beerman columnist - turn to the homepage or Eats channel to meet our new brew chief.

His name is John “Jilly” Garner and he’s already well-established in Myrtle Beach’s barley-and-hops community having launched in 2009.

We already let the cat out of the bag on Facebook, and Garner is garnering positive reviews so far including an endorsement from his predecessor Colin Burch.

Another note of editorial import to impart: throughout the rest of the summer, our Gut Reaction restaurant reviews will focus on the crop of new barbecue eateries that have sprouted up recently in the Myrtle Beach area, continuing with this week’s review of Rockabilly BBQ. The BBQ vetting will culminate in a Labor Day project we’re not divulging details of just yet, but we hope to whet your appetite.
