SIGNATURE DRINK | I make a mean Margarita (tequila, triple sec, sour mix, splash of orange juice)

BARTENDER | Denise Woods, 29

WHERE | Chuck & Duck's Sports Grill

QUESTION | So... you wear a revolver on your necklace... do you carry one on your person, too?

ANSWER | Sometimes, yeah. You never know when you gotta shoot someone. Well, you know, God and guns (as she points to her cross necklace hanging next to her gun necklace.)

How many people have you shot so far?

That I'd like to keep to myself. I don't want to incriminate myself.

Is there any place you deem inappropriate to carry a gun on your person?

No. Although there are some people I think shouldn't carry a gun at the bar.

How's your shot? Could you beat Annie Oakley?

I'm actually a really good shot. I used to turkey shoot when I was a kid and that's how I used to get all my meat for the winter.

So you only ate turkey in the winter?

No - not turkey hunting... turkey shooting. It's competitive target shooting. You win the money pot and meat.

How many other sports can you name where the pot is meat?

Zero. That's it.

What is your definition of hick?

Relying on the land, surviving on your own. When I say hick, I mean real country.

You're originally from Savannah. Ga. - how is it different from Myrtle Beach?

Savannah is much more focused on the historical aspects. This place is more colorful and beachy.

So what do you think about Coastal Carolina University banning Weekly Surge?

I'm infuriated. I think Surge is a neat way of seeing what's going on and the prices of things. I think it's important, especially for college students, to see what to do. That's stupid to ban it. I feel like Surge is a great way to keep the younger crowd informed.

Apparently the college had beef with the alcohol -related content. College kids don't drink do they?

Not a drop.

Did you know CCU now has crossing guards?

Are they in kindergarten?
