Wicked happy hour deals in Murrells Inlet

THE LOCALE | Wicked Tuna, Murrells Inlet

THE LOWDOWN | At the southern end of the MarshWalk in Murrells Inlet you'll find a large waterfront bar and restaurant nestled up against Crazy Sister Marina. It's called Wicked Tuna, and that's where we went for happy hour this week.

Wicked Tuna sits on the water high atop the marina in the former location of Spud’s Waterfront Dining.

Locals frequent this spot for the great food and the outstanding view of the inlet. Many choose to sit at the open air bar area outside. The bar has about a

dozen barstools that face the water, and there are a few more barstools off to the side that you can pull up to a ledge that overlooks the inlet.

Some patrons choose to settle in at one of the white high-top tables scattered around the bar area or perhaps at a table in the adjoining open air waterfront dining area. Others make their way inside to the classy indoor bar that seats a dozen. You'll also find tables, a sushi bar and a separate dining area inside.

Along with sushi, the menu offers fish, steaks, sandwiches, salads, soups and appetizers. You can get select appetizers for three bucks during happy hour, which runs from 4 to 7 p.m. daily. Drink deals include $2.50 domestic beer bottles, $3.50 well drinks and $3.50 wines.

Wicked Tuna offers football specials throughout the week (except Tuesdays and Wednesdays) when you can get specially-priced appetizers and buckets of beer. Also check out the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar on Sundays.
