THE LOWDOWN | A new Irish sports bar on Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach not only offers all day everyday drink specials, it hosts happy hour, too, so that's where we went for a drink and to check out the action this week.

Ole Shillelagh Sports & Raw Bar took over the Murphy's Law location on South Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. It looks the same... the walls are covered with sports memorabilia such as photos, team flags and jerseys. Sports posters even cover a majority of the ceiling. You can sit at the long bar or a number of high and low-top tables. There is also outdoor seating.

A sports crowd hangs out at Ole Shillelagh Sports & Raw Bar. You'll find tourists, and plenty of Steelers and Buckeye fans, too. TVs are scattered about and the bar has all the sports packages, including NHL, NFL, NBA and more. As far as bar games, you'll see Golden Tee, Silver Strike and a couple of pool tables in back.

Happy Hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. During happy hour you can snag 50-cent chicken wings, shrimp and oysters. Drink deals include 50-cent discounts on drinks and shots. That makes domestic bottles $2.25, imports start at $2.75, wine is $3.50 and Fireball shots are $4.50. All day everyday specials include $2.50 house liquors and $2 draft beers.

TIPS | Mark your calendar for the Grand Opening on St. Patrick's Day. Corned beef and cabbage will be served all day.
