THE LOCALE | Smokin’ Hot Grill & BBQ

THE LOWDOWN | If you’re looking for some BBQ accompanied by some cold beer, Smokin’ Hot Grill & BBQ at Barefoot Landing has you covered. That’s where we went for happy hour this week.

Smokin’ Hot Grill & BBQ is located on the Flying Fish Fish Market side of Barefoot Landing in the spot that was formerly Salsaritas. The locale has a

waterway view.

You can see the water from the large wooden deck and through the windows that line the back of the building. You can sit at high-top tables or picnic tables on the outdoor deck, or you can head indoors to the booths or barstools inside the bar area. There’s a separate dining area, too.

One of the popular dishes at Smokin’ Hot Grill & BBQ is the pulled pork BBQ. The menu also includes burgers, ribs, shrimp, burritos, chili and Brunswick stew. The bar serves a full line of moonshines, featuring specialty southern cocktails with Full Throttle S’loonshine.

Happy hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. daily. Drink deals include $2.50 domestic beers, $3.50 wines and $4 sangria. You can also snag a $3 margarita on the rocks or a $4 Pure Southern Sweetness (Firefly Sweet Tea vodka with brewed iced tea).

Food specials during happy hour include $3 sliders, $4 tacos and $3.50 Brunswick stew or chili. Southern-style chicken fritters with fries or 1/4 rack of ribs are available for five bucks.

TIPS | Happy hour specials are offered at the bar only.
