Attention PEEPS® fans: Easter’s most popular sweet treat can now be found in the center of a Dunkin’ Donuts donut. Flower-shaped and frosted with pastel pink or green icing, the PEEPS® donuts feature a pink or yellow PEEPS® marshmallow chick, making it the perfect dessert that you can still enjoy after Easter. The new donut will be available at any Myrtle Beach area Dunkin’ Donut location until the last day of the month. Don’t leave your sweet tooth hanging.

Myrtle Beach Restaurant week has been designated for June 2-8, celebrating the area’s culinary traditions and with participating restaurants offering deals and specials.

Ducati’s Pizzeria & Trattoria, located off of Cipriana Dr. in Myrtle Beach, is under new ownership. Ducati’s prides itself on its pizza, pasta dishes, homemade meatballs, tomato basil sauce, fresh Greek salads and an extensive wine selection. You can visit Ducati’s any day of the week between the hours of 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The phone number is 839-5373.

Dead Dog Saloon has added breakfast service. The MarshWalk restaurant/bar now serves eggs, country fried steak, pancakes, French toast, biscuits and gravy and more. Breakfast is available between the hours of 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. seven days a week. The restaurant is located at 4079 U.S. 17 Business Murrells Inlet, SC.

The building that was home to Dirty Dick's Crab House in North Myrtle Beach won't sit empty for long. Mellow Mushroom will open its second location on the Grand Strand this summer at 1101 U.S. 17 North, North Myrtle Beach where Dirty Dick’s was. There is already one Mellow Mushroom in the area, located on 21st Avenue North in Myrtle Beach. The Georgia-based pizza company has many locations across South Carolina and is known for its pizzas and wide range of craft beers.

The Roaming Table Society arranges meals at various locations around the Grand Strand to raise money for Abiding Village, a 501c3 program that provides artistic activities for children to be “under resourced or at-risk” as featured in April 4’s Weekly Surge cover story. Tickets cost between $50 and $100, and ticket holders can choose to receive directions to the dinner location or to get a series of clues for a scavenger hunt in order to get to dinner. Their next event is May. Tickets can be purchased at www.theroamingtablesociety.com.

The former location of Crystalite Café that closed in May 2011 and then became Murry and Mike’s which then closed in 2012, now has a new neon light sign that says Brewski’s Bar & Grill. No word yet of when the grand opening will be. The location is at 799 U.S. 17 Business S. in Surfside Beach.

Garden City Beach has a new buffet that is up and running and is now hiring. Crab Daddy’s is a 120 item seafood and country buffet located at 3043 U.S. 17 Garden City Beach. The hours are from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the phone number is 299-1115.

As part of the 4th annual Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine and Spirits Festival set for June 2-8, the event’s Tasting Trolley will be back, rolling to the following stops, beginning at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center: Island Vista Resort, Caribbean Resort, Breakers Resort, Plyler Park, New South Brewery, Second Avenue Pier, Damon’s Grill and Springmaid Beach Resort.
