THE LOCALE | Jimmagan's Pub Parkway

THE LOWDOWN | For all you sports fans out there, there's a new spot to watch any and every game. It's Jimmagan's Pub Parkway, and that's where we went for happy hour this week.

Jimmagan's Pub Parkway is located on the corner of U.S. 501 and Robert Grissom Parkway in Myrtle Beach. The building has hosted a number of bars in the past several years including the Corner Pocket, RED and Elite Ultra Lounge.

Jimmagan's Pub already has a fan base. This is the third current Jimmagan's location along the Grand Strand. There's one in Little River and the original pub is at 6003 North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach.

And the new location is already gaining new fans - sports fans who appreciate the sports packages and abundance of TVs. Jimmagan's Pub Parkway carries all the sports packages including the NFL package. It has 15 flat panel TVs and plays the sound of the announcers instead of music during big games.

Jimmagan's Pub Parkway has a large interior. Almost everything is a light grey color, from the bar to the walls to the tables. If you like to sit belly-up to a bar, you're in luck. The bar is a large rectangle that protrudes from the back wall and it seats almost 40 bar stools. The establishment has plenty for the bar-game enthusiast. There are four pool tables, two dart boards and video games such as Golden Tee, Power Putt and Silver Strike. You'll even find a boxing game.

Happy hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. daily. Drink specials include $2.50 domestic bottles and $2.50 house liquors. Jagermeister and Fireball are $4.50 during happy hour. You can also snag half-price appetizers such as fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, calamari, nachos, jalapeno poppers, popcorn shrimp and ravioli. All day everyday drink deals include $2 vodkas and $4 25-oz. beer cans.

TIPS | Jimmagan's Pub Parkway opens daily at 11 a.m.
